Nothing greater in the entire world's history...

A good reminder from Jerry Bridge's The Great Exchange:

"For those... in [Christ], there is nothing greater in the entire world's history than the substitutionary obedience in the life and death of Christ on behalf of his people. To them, the life and death of Jesus Christ is the central event of all time to which previous ages looked forward and subsequent ages look back. It is the only hope for all humanity in all times and places."

Well put indeed! There certainly is nothing greater in the entire world's history than the good news about the life and death of Jesus.
