Don't insulate yourself from human suffering...

Some time ago, I started keeping a collection of photos documenting human suffering. I find that such photos help to wake me up from my daily America-as-Disneyland type lifestyle and think and pray about things that really matter. Viewing images illustrating the effects of sin helps me to long for God's kingdom and Christ's power over sin to be advanced through the gospel.

Holtzberg will fly to Israel Monday on an Israeli Air Force jet with his parents' remains and the Indian woman who rescued him, an Israeli Foreign Ministry spokesman said. (AP Photo)
