We posed a cutting question two days ago in "Preparation for Heaven" Part 1 of 5. Look at the above post and read the question in its entirety again real quick before you read on. For all you too strapped for the 30 seconds to read the above, the question essentially went something like this:
"...could you be satisfied with heaven, if Christ were not there?"
Today here is some additional comments on the above question...
"...the question for Christian [spouses, parents, friends, leaders] is: do we...teach and lead in such a way [in our various roles] that [our spouse, our kids, our friends, the people we witness to] are prepared to hear that question and answer with a resounding No? How do we understand the Gospel and the love of God? Have we shifted with the world from God's love as the gift of himself to God's love as the gift of a mirror in which we like what we see? Have we presented the gospel in such a way that the gift of the glory of God in the face of Christ is marginal rather than central and ultimate?"
